MAP is seeking Part-Time Office Manager

Muslim Association of Greater Pittsburgh (MAP) is seeking a part-time Office Manager who will help run the community center in a prompt, organized and orderly fashion.


As our Office Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the MAP office (including but not limited to: responding to emails, phone and in-person inquiries, maintaining organizations records, coordinating with service vendors)
  • Providing electronic communications to membership
  • Assisting with membership campaigns, activation/renewal, and record-keeping
  • Assisting the Sunday School administration and staff with students record keeping
  • Helping the maintenance committee (soliciting and coordination of vendor visits)
  • Overseeing the cleaning of MAP facilities generally and right after facility rentals
  • Supporting the organization during educational, social and fundraising events
  • Facilitating the organizational needs during Ramadan and the two Eids
  • Must maintain a 20 hours per week work schedule including 2-3 days at the office; will be required to work from the office on Fridays and Sundays


  • Educational Background: High School Graduate; some college preferred
  • Experienced and skilled with use of the following computer software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Social Media (Facebook, etc.), Quickbooks, and Google Docs/Calendar
  • Experience (3-5 years) working or managing an office.


  • Excellent interpersonal and social skills
  • Strong command of spoken and written English
  • Share the vision and mission of MAP and provide services that advance this commitment

The Muslim Association of Greater Pittsburgh is located in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania (one of the Northern suburbs of Pittsburgh) and is one of the newest Islamic Centers to serve the Greater Pittsburgh area for almost five years. The MAP campus consists of a Masjid Building (includes prayer and social halls) and a School Building (includes 7 classrooms); it serves the religious, educational and social needs of children and families residing in the North Hills suburbs of the Metro Pittsburgh area.
