MAP Food Drive: From Our Table to Yours

Assalamualaikum brothers and sisters,

For the last few years our community has been consistently serving the tables of our less privileged community members.  We do this drive at least once or twice a year by the grace of Allah. This year, we focused our attention on our Afghan brothers and sisters.  Alhumdulillah, we delivered 72 boxes to thirty six families.

The care packages included many essentials: Basmati rice, all-purpose flour, canned peas, tomato paste, tea along with tea cookies, cereal, olive oil, pasta with sauce, mac and cheese, honey, tomato ketchup, mashed potatoes, sugar, and salt and pepper.

MAP also delivered hot Iftar meals to fifteen families along with Eid clothes for men and children.

Special thanks to our volunteer brothers who despite fasting, delivered these care packages all over the city of Pittsburgh.  These include Brs. Alavi Aboosally, Adeel Ahmed, Mudassar Ali, Ammad Amjad, Hafeez Dheen, Hamid Jafrey, Asif Kamal, Afzal Khan, Imran Paniwala, Jamal Khan, Imran Qadeer and Waqaas Tirmizi.
